THRIVING STUDENTS IS THE REASON WHY WE SET LEGISLATIVE GOALS

Winning local and international awards for their writing, reading, debating and science projects, our students are flourishing since the introduction of KEY libraries.

With this positive experience of success, between 2016 and 2018, KEY collaborated with the Kenya Law Reform Commission, the Kenya Library Services, the Ministry of Education and Sports Culture and the Arts, the Goethe Institut and educational NGOs to draft Kenya’s first National Policy and Guidelines Framework for School Libraries because at the time, there was no national framework, no policy document, no focus, no guidelines and no rules for libraries in the delivery of education, and no road map with clear timelines and deliverables.
