The Ministry of Education announced today that it has launched a new model classroom that will incorporate and embrace e-learning in Primary and Secondary Schools. This new model will be used by teachers and students to deliver the Kenyan curriculum to the schools, in line with the Millennium Development Goals.

One aspect of this program that I found particularly exciting was the development of digital curriculum support materials for Primary and Secondary Schools. As we have been rolling out our Learning Solutions Program that incorporates the use of Smart Boards in classrooms, we have spent a great deal of time investigating what resources are available that can promote learning while supporting the components of the Kenyan curriculum. Having digital content created by the Ministry of Education for this purpose will be very beneficial for both the Program and the recipient schools.
