There was an interesting article in flavorwire today with a selection of the 20 most beautifully illustrated children’s books of all time. Having now spent considerable time with children in Primary School Libraries, I learned quickly that the books with the best illustrations will be the books the children will grab and read.

One book on the list that is very popular in Africa is Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People’s Ears, which won the Caldecott Medal for its illustrations. We included it in our Primary School Book List.
