I had a great meeting with Sharon Atufu from Usborne, an amazing children’s book publisher. I am especially excited about their Shakespeare Young Reading series. They take the original text from Shakespeare classics such as Twelfth Night and Romeo & Juliet, and reduce the content so that it is manageable for a 6+ reading level.
I have found that in every library we have worked with, there is a tremendous interest and readership of Shakespeare (we have had many students quote from even the lesser known texts such as Richard III) so it is fantastic to be able to bring versions to the primary school libraries as well, or even beginner adult readers.
