With the incredibly kind donation of books by House of Anansi Publishers (an amazing independent Canadian-based publishing company), I was back at Bright Girls Secondary School to do a book covering workshop with these books.
This workshop is an important part of our library model for all schools that we donate to. During the workshop, the students learn how to cover and stamp the new books. Lessons learned include book care, and is gives them a wonderful opportunity to get to know the new books that are being made available to them to read.
I love being able to capture those quiet moments when the students are reading through the pages of one of the new books and then talking about the contents excitedly.
