We’re paying particular attention to how we curate Art and Music books for school libraries in Kenya. Over the years, we have learned that these topics are underserved in Kenya’s curriculum. Yet, beauty and music are so culturally celebrated by communities in Kenya. Rita, CEO of KEY, has recently scooped up a great deal of books that she selected from New York’s Museum of Modern Art’s book collection (MoMA store). I can’t wait to unpack them when they land in Kenya and to order favourites in bulk for our future library projects.
