It wasn’t hard for us to decide that Metkei Girls Secondary School was a school worthy of a library donation. Not long ago a County school, Metkei has been performing so well under the leadership of their head teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Kiprono, that in 2013 they ranked 30th nation wide. This is an incredible feat – as it means they performed better than many ‘top ranked’ National Schools. When assessing whether a school is worthy of a library donation, two critical factors we look at are the leadership of the head teacher, and the motivation & performance of the students. We saw both of these at the school, and I know that we will see them rise to even greater achievements in the years to come. Below are some photos of the library setup at Metkei, the library of which we donated this past July.
