We’re proud to share that Knowledge Empowering Youth (KEY) has been mentioned as a potential collaborator in the newly published research paper by Erika Mann and Emily Tock of Purdue University, titled “Connecting Disconnects: Investigating Digital Literacy in Primary and Secondary Public Schools in the Machakos Region of Kenya.” The paper, published on April 7, 2025 explores critical gaps and opportunities in digital literacy education within underserved schools in the Machakos region. You can read the full paper [here].

This mention connects KEY to a wider movement advancing quality education in underserved communities, and puts our work into a meaningful dialogue with others driving change.

We’re honoured to be part of this important conversation—and excited for what comes next.
