In developing countries like Kenya, most schools have no libraries. English—the global language of education, business, and opportunity—is Kenya’s official language, yet for most children it is a third language spoken mainly in classrooms. Without books or digital tools, children are denied the chance to develop essential English and digital skills, widening the gap between them and their better-resourced peers at home and abroad.
