Promoting democratic values and rights through the use of libraries
At KEY, our libraries are rooted in democratic values of rights and choice in use, governance and management, enshrined in our Library Constitution. We promote the use of the library as a place to practice constitutional and democratic rights, with our libraries governed and managed by the library council made up of students, plus a teacher and parent representative. We encourage its use as a forum for good governance, student activism, freedom of expression, self-discovery and personal development.
