Right on schedule, all of the interior renovation work is complete – knocking down walls, repairing walls, tiling the floor, repainting, and fixing lights (a miracle when working in Africa!!). Now all we have left is to repaint the trim and add grills to all of the windows and the door. We learned from our pilots last year that grills are a crucial security step for ensuring books do not slip out of the library. Given that Mwendakulima is located in an area that experiences occasional local crime, they are a necessity.
